Things seem so simple Music playing, pretty girls Drinking, toasting to a birthday Its the best birthday in the world
I think there is something secret And I see no reason to enter tension My friend Jim warms my stomach No need to scream intervention
The bar is marble The floor is cloud I smile as I feel the rush of the music They whisper something funny, but its much too loud
Happy birthday And we're driving through the cold Screeching tires screaming more Light another cigarette because the feeling never gets old

I thought this poem was kinda unexpected because you tell the poem as an older version of a birthday.Some people might think its a little odd.Anyway you did a good job. =) |
