I think I saw me die today
Alone in the fire she died
With that old look in her eye
I put her there and there she will stay
Because I made her go away
Killed the memories and the past
gone
I am not the me I used to be
I am no longer an angry fire
I am cold healing water
I am no longer emotionless
I can feel now.
She is dead
ash from a fire long since gone
drowned in the river of my soul
empty filled with love
hate smothered by happiness
loneliness replaced by him
I am happy
I am free
in love
I am not the old you
I am the new me.
