What new thing is this? Weve barely even met. Youre so far away I cant count the miles. Why is it I long for your kiss? You and I are strangers, and yet. Your greetings make me smile.
What new thing is this? Strangers yet; but there is more. As I sit and gaze about, From where is this unexpected bliss? Can this be a sign of amour? I cannot imagine why my heart should shout.
What new thing is this? Dare we dance this dance? A day or two ago, each other we did not know. A new journey is fraught with mist Is it still possible to find romance? Now this eve it seems as though, you my soul has always known.
What new thing is this? When two people so connect, Shall we dare to explore? Can this bond really so soon exist? Can it be that love is next? What is next? I implore.
What new thing is this? Do I fear lifes cruel joke? Words weve traded through the air, Why do I so soon resist? Must I wait on destinys stroke, Are we just a foolish pair?
What new thing is this? Can a man and woman simply be? Have I found a place to rest? How can I long for his kiss? Anxious, yes, but I must run and see. How it is to be embraced, tight against his chest.

I've studied this topic and found the powerful emotions that bowl over new lovers are triggered by a molecule known as nerve growth factor. After a year with the same lover, the quantity of the 'love molecule' in test subject's blood had fallen. Regardless, a thought-provoking poem. |

Very good write. This is something that I am currently feeling now believe it or not. The best thing I have found to do is to just let things unfold and be patient. Everyone you meet has something to teach you. Both good and bad. |

how very delish...
Though the earlier comment about the chemical influence...PEA (phenylethylamine) being one of the compounds, a phantom neurotransmitter also found in chocolate which waxes and wanes between 6mos and 7 years (the itch) however the piece also implies the good character to question along the way: is it just being in love, am in love, the question begging to be named "what new thing is this?"
Perhaps there is a committment to being loving to each other with true longevity in potential. This lover to be has not quite met I suspect and by this piece I feel the author communicates finding or stumbling upon a shared treasure with somone who is still relatively unknown. Is it about risk? To try and find love around yet another corner..
To turn the corner as the folly of love is better had than dreamt of, better had than lost and all that...
Maybe no perhaps better to stick to dreaming and the pen as a warning to the caviler and conspicuous, the bawdy internet romance, who really gets happy anyway? Is it someone who risks without thinking or the deliberate?
But then the best things discovered are often through trial and error.
Perhaps the 'new thing' is the question in front of the feeling.
Perhpas you are a goddess of honey.
Peace
