As I sit and look at a picture
of the little girl I love so much
I smile as I realize how much you have grown
It seems like just yesterday
You were in pig tails
wanting to be
just like me
Just yesterday
i was nursing your wounds and singing you to sleep
Trying to explain why mommy wasnt there
Now as I look at my beautiful 13 year old little sister
I cant believe
That all these years have just flown by
You always looked up to me
and wanted to be " just like me"
now you are
but I hope that you dont make the same mistakes
that I have made
I hope that you find happiness
in everything you do
and i hope that no matter what
You'll always be you
The little girl, who chopped off her long hair
because I did
The little girl who looks to me for advice
and the little girl who stole my heart from day one.
