I use to have a mother That was everything I wanted But corruption of her heart Drove are worlds apart
The smoke in the room Clouded my perspective Showing the addictions she had And the self control she lacked
I felt that I had done her wrong Thinking it was my fault and that I caused it all But as I grew older and the years made me wiser I realized she had a problem
She had a addiction to a substance so wrong That ruined the lives of my sisters and brother
We once ran around and played in a world That seemed so innocent and had no troubles But as the years went by and the problem grew worst we were left with a harsh and immoral upbringing
It left me so turned up inside That I only focused on the wrong But as I became more self reliant I became a much stronger being and much stronger man
I realized life is love And love is life That we should learn to except The hands were dealt
My life was a mess But if not for it I would not be who I am
I would not know My appreciation and understanding Of the world I disowned for so long
I would not know the taste and the riches Of self gratitude
I would not know The real person I am
