I think it might be raining
But I don't want a soul to mind
The calming sound of raindrops
And I feel on fire because I'm feeling so fine
I feel like I'm walking through fire
But actually I'm running through the rain
I don't believe in umbrellas
But people use them all the same
Rain drops seem to echo
As one wave collides into another
I could almost say its beautiful
But, the lightning crashes and everyone runs for cover
I stand with my arms out
Fingers uncurled and palms aimed high
Cold, sweet rain drops slide down my hair like rollercoasters
I think it's incredible and I hope that I never die
At least not until everything is figured out
Like all the moments that led up to a kiss
The one that spun you around in circles
But you can't remember where in the hell it even is
It's like you stay abandoned
And I stay inside this optimistic dream
Waiting on forever to show its face
Delightful like strawberries and cream
I want to wish you something
It's not sorry so don't make me explain
It's contained inside this smile
It stays even when the rest goes down the drain
So much for this episode
The wishing well has run dry
Come run with me into December
I'll cross my heart and hope to die
Oh, I remember all the silly times
And silly I should probably remain
Stuck in the moments of another time
But I'm standing here laughing in the rain
Even when the city burns
And the safety we so conveniently subdue
May run away from me
Just so that I can run into you
