Your words like ice
cut through my veins.
And I stayed up for an hour and a half
listening to you.
I love you for your willingness to protect me
I find it odd, yet comforting.
In a world where my abuse has gone
unacknowledged,
You stand tall for me
knocking the lighters away from my wrists,
and lending me a shoulder to cry on.
But I can't help that I don't listen
'cause I love him through all the tears
and I won't be able to leave
without having my heart
cut out first.

this is a very powerful write.. i hope things get better for you.. but remember if he loves you he will stand by you and help you.. love doesn't hurt you.. this is a very powerful and emotional write.. good job in expressing your innermost feelings thanks for sharing
