I pulled the covers over my head
To hide a frustration that's wishing me dead
And all I could think is I wish he were here
And all I could feel is you holding me near
And now all I know is you're holding her close
In the blankets and sheets that we made our own
And now all I hear are those magnificent lies
"I love you, I need you, I could stay here with you til I die
You make me happy, that's something no one else hears"
But my God if you knew how you've brought me to tears
