I Felt Ugly Today

Today
I looked at myself
Looked in the mirror
And I said
Wow;
Just look at that
I cant believe
That you are going to just
Walk around
Looking like that.
And today
I felt ugly
I felt fat
Just unwanted
And I knew
I had to do something
So I did.
And thats how this story begins.
I grabbed at my legs
And looked at my stomach
How big could I get
I don't want to know.
It started out as a diet
Small meals
Sometimes none.
And still when I looked
I was bigger then
When this begun.
A fool to myself
I still ate to much
Purging they called it
Eating nearly nothing
Just enough to trick your stomach
But no matter how little I ate
I couldnt look at myself
And find beauty.
Id be empty for days
Even if I ate something
It wouldnt stay.
It would go in
And come out
All the same way.
Im sorry
I cant let you see me
As much as I love you
My bodys to ugly.
I love you
Baby youre my everything
My shining star
Ill wish upon you
And hope that happiness
Isnt too far.

Who cares if we are ugly,
Paunchy and frumpy,
Our eyes they deceive us,
We always look lumpy,
Get rid of the mirror,
Throw it to one side,
For we are real beauties,
But on the inside.
We all have our perceptions of how we look, its a shame, but I always look for personality, and inner beauty. For I believe that is true beauty. If we all looked like beauty queens, would not the world be boring. I can relate to these words very much, and understand it very well. Thanks for sharing. Sue xx( who may I say is no raving beauty herself. )
