and die for the world

Contributed by BSteel on Wednesday, 22nd November 2006 @ 05:36:39 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

i am the sacrifice offered by our generation,
our forefathers have the same spirit of our youth,
detached from guit and shame this is the frontier,
the elders feel threatened the youth restless,
ego, arrogance, all destined to reach their own apex,
none can avoid agony, i'll take responsibility,
if the loose ends never meet ,
i will forever be known as a beast, body
poppin it on any continent,
i was set up like a bowling pin, knocked down deep,
yet my soul breathes bleeds to no man's creed,
my heart beats to lead to leak the truth, i must recapture my own troops,
Bush is in no position to push me, i tried to salvage his legacy,
shanked like Shawshank Rededmption, never to recapture any form of inonocence,
no i feel no sorrow or penance for the past tense,
i'm driven into the future, no i aint no beserker,
i'm ready to talk it over, but if you choose to turn a cold shoulder, i'm ready to take over,
the miltia from Lextington to Concord, rather from Philly to Pittsburgh,
yeah i got the balls, and the mighty Casey is at bat, your gonna have to torture me like the vietnamese did to the great
John Mcain, i still got the executive clout to affect the Nasdaq and the Dow, Forget the Jone's i'm in it for
for true salvation, sick of being a slave to this nation, Quarter century soul survivor, i'll climbing the highest peak,
i'm just in reach, forget the powers that be, and all the books they use all the tools they use to brainwash all similiar souls, i must break the mold, ya'll aint heard, ill keep my word,
and die for the world.

Deeply thought provoking & while I'm still not entirely clear on the final summation here, I am going to read it again to try & wrap my mind around what it might be.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
