Friends, I have given each of thee a prize.
Accept them brothers I do pray in cheer.
Suit ye not, be it known that Im not wise,
but truly deigned to grace what ye think dear.
Duke Morleys diamond seems much I now fear,
but better father a man never knew
who makes his daughter mine without a tear.
Blue Light of East is Morleys rightful due.
A diamond great is least for noble most all true.

The diamond came to me from Sultan Rhae,
Islamic ruler holding sway in Spain.
And he took stone from ryot runaway
who slaved in Rajah Jahibs Chola reign.
Blue Light of East was mined from Kollur vein.
There, expert cutters many facets made.
Said by all, Golcondas far greatest gain.
With power giving owner healthful aid,
the stone doth shield and makes courageous brave hearts blade.
