This Room of Lies

Contributed by ClancyExistential on Wednesday, 29th November 2006 @ 01:40:32 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

this room is what I've been reduced to
this cold this night,

the shadows whisper my lies
hate climbs the walls
the corner's tell my secrets
regret seeps from my pours
no sorrow for my debts
deserving,

this room is what I've been reduced to,

no hope for tomorrow
just me half alive
and my judges
this cold,

my place is in here,
a welcoming edge
no breath to scream

throwing questions at these walls
like fists
pounding for the answers
I crumble to the floor
the black enveloping my chest,

this room,
this room forces memories to the forefront,
a platoon of poor soldiers
locked eyes with death
slashing at my wounds,

I cry for time to leave me weak
divided by madness
jumping from wall to wall
to wall
no peace,
broken,
clinging to the whispers I interpret as love songs.
