Escaping Memories V

Contributed by MisfitMe on Sunday, 3rd December 2006 @ 07:09:37 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Within a womb long thought barren, she was conceived~

An heir born late in the lives of those she'd succeed

Happy & healthy on the kings knee she was bounced~

While to the world outside she was a miracle announced...

'Til by a disgruntle few was given to rise~

That which brought the first of many tears to her eyes

Of dabbling in black arts the Queen was said at fault~

And thus, other worldly magic her babe from result...

Just one of the shadows to be on her birth cast~

Which had the servants crossing themselves as they passed

No respect for their King & Queen showed the realms peers~

Soon aging them both beyond already great years...

Surviving to know of her own barely seven~

Before sent to burn in Hell, by God in Heaven

At least that was what most were given to believe~

By those who would see her of rulership relieved...

Once again
To be continued...

You work has the metric of the memory keeper the griot that can sustain for hours and hours thousands and thousands of years of histroy...

When I read this i can feel myself infused with sacred drink around a fire and taken on a journey to the stories of all of us...

There is both light and dark in this piece which has a breath waiting scope...

Peace
AJ
