The Whipping of the Wings Flitting between the shades of Grey With Powerful Notes Within the Snow Of Wars and Dreadful Things
Each click and whisper Each *****ter-clatter They will arise And search the skies Like the Dragons of Old Gone Days
They will stay Till they find the place between, The shades of Grey The place of Virtue Lost in the dust of Wars and Dreadful Things
Screeching Wailing Bailing, Out Water from the Boats of Men Who lived in the Glen Like the Dragons of Old Gone Days
Where Dragons Grazed And Bats did Fly With the Whipping of the Wings Between the Shades of Grey Of Old Gone Days Wailing and Bailing the Water Of the Men Of the Glen Lost in the dust of Wars and Dreadful Things

Welcome to YPDC, Nathan. : )
I saw your post in the forums and thought I'd pop by your page. I don't have time to read everything you have posted in order to reply in the forum, however (honestly, I don't know if anyone can given the number of poets/posts on this site and the general desire to read a variety of others). You'll find the longer you stick around and the more interactive you are, the more YPDCers that will read your work in return... give it a bit of time.
I like this piece. To be honest, I'm a bit thrown by the capital letters here and there throughout... I, personally, find it harder to read as a result (not impossible, or unbearably even... just not as easy as I think it would be without some of those capital letters). It is an interesting piece... it gets my mind turning on a number of things (long gone days and dreadful things...). And if this is your first (!), I'd absolutely encourage you to continue writing - this is an excellent start!!
