An open hand.
Lost in a maze of thoughts
rendered by a lack of words to express them
yet violently screamed by an inner voice of reason
speaking with such assurance and pride
uncovering a forest to dark and tangled
only understood by the eyes inside
I'm shaken by this dreadful eruption
from an unknown world
scratching at the depths of a scattered mind
deep inside ones head the
terrified squeals & frantic screams
yet between your teeth the loudest
noise of whispering flies
an open hand was the madness of the mind
broke the discomfort with a spirited conversation
kept its eyes off the sun hanging gauzy
through the filmy grayness of the sky
