Sleeping With Ghosts

Sleeping with ghosts
In an unforgiving bed
That tell tales
Of remorse
Dreaming emotional butchery
And visions of you
Failures merciless aroma
This bayonet
Slips through my fingers
Like a fleeting breath
Or a final heartbeat
That signifies the end
Of this definitive chapter
Lay the angel to rest
And awake
The malevolent host
