The Smell of smoke still lingers ther by the chair where I used to sit nothing there but the ash of what was and is no more I'm long gone now you can write your song you didn't think I could be so strong
the smell of smoke still lingers there by the cellar stair where I used to sit and all that remains of the ash of my ciggerate of all the past burnt out

Heya Jenni~
Although short you have managed in so little words to make your reader feel your sadness. The past is in the past where it should stay. Here's to a much brighter future. Well done Jenni and thanks for sharing your post with us~
love n hugs,

This poem is tragicaly beautiful, i love the verse about sitting on the cellar stairs. Talk about vivid, your poetry is like little paintings you can't take your eyes off of. I like every thing i 've read by you. You write very well indeed.
