Bang your hand to take your mind
Off of your stubbed toe
If only it were that easy
To make all pains go.
Heartache is a tougher case
Much harder to treat
It is only when you're near again
My heart can smoothly beat.
I used to wonder how love,
Something so good could pain
But to not have the one you love
will set a fire in your brain.
I tell you now, love hurts, my friends
Don't let anyone change your mind
But what remains to be true
Is it's the best thing you can find.
