the moonlight dances silver fingers dissolve into shimmers upon the black water a willow tree stands alone its long, flowing mane reflected in the flickering pools darkness sucking the starlight from the sky filling its depths with a watery glow a leaf falls to the creek delicate a frail brown membrane dancing on the moonbeam bruising fluid skin clouds choke the gray light and a black curtain gently falls
