Love Hurts

Contributed by sir_odd87 on Monday, 18th December 2006 @ 10:59:42 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I told you it would happen
You said it would not be so
Then you went out into the world
And to my opinion you did grow

You used to be in love with me
And I was so in love with you
The love you felt for me has died
The love I knew was true

You told me that you love me
Like a friend, perhaps a brother
I tell you now, I love your more
Than a friend should love another

I love you still more
Than any poem can tell you I can
Returned love can be painful
But love unreturned can kill a man.
