feelings fade pt2

Contributed by boredoms_burden on Tuesday, 19th December 2006 @ 10:30:20 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

my heart begins to sink as i look in her eyes
i feel the same pain that i feel everytime
she looks at me and she begins smile
and im lying here and think thats all i wanted all of the while

i could have cried then, i should have cried then

as feelings begin to fade i see the hope her eyes
and i feel the same doubt that i feel that i feel all of the time
oh that look in her eyes it just crushes me
i take her hand and she begins to see

she cannot die now, she will not die now

i hold her cold hand and theres that look in her eyes
i fall to my knees and im trying not to cry
she starts to slip away and as she looks in my eyes
she says the same thing i say all of the time

you could have cried then, you should cried then

feelings begin to fade and i cant look in her eyes
i feel the numb pain that i feel all of the time
she is my evrything oh God dont let her die
she starts to slip away and i begin to cry

oh how the tears fall as im still holding her hand
i say dont die on me im doing all that i can
i look at her she says i dont understand
she looks at me and see's the tears in my eyes
she says thats the only thing i wanted all of my life

i look at her and theres a new look in her eyes
i dont feel that pain that i felt all of the time

i dont mind, no i dont mind

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
