The time has come to look again back through these months just now past, Giving a sigh of regret - I ponder Did each of us do enough for our fellow man
The year was filled with joys and tears Some people stayed gone and others came back again
The world affairs has had its strains and we the human race are All to blame. Doubts , suspicions and wars This world globe has seen it all.
Crying still for the children and the unborn Still sending the soldiers off to die for a cause they them selves have little known.
Trusting those left behind to make all the decisions of what this next year shall bring round.
The Seasons close when the months grow dark , Cold creeps in and all the rest follow Yet our wishes ,issues and concerns are still our OWN And still we ignor the signs
How does so many hearts contuine beating and living on faith that relief will come soon And all will be as it was written it shall be.
Sending more prayers to the Leaders of the lands, the dispursers of Love and Hate Couldn't they put all anger aside and just Negotiate .
Peace and Understanding and forgiving Giving every man, woman and child freedom and a good life Amen
Merry Christmas

I thought I'd return the favor! I read several of your but I liked this one the best. The poem moves around a lot and I like that about it. The individual stanzas stand apart, but they come together very well.Good work! |
