I sometimes wonder

And sometimes late at night
while I sit and ponder
these words I write.
as warm winds blow
by the pale moon light
and I recall,
Yes, I recall.
Those long lost days
of long ago.
Long hot nights
when the moon did show.
and I still knew
just where to go,
where to go,
where to go.
And all the years now
have come and gone.
All these years now
been out on my own.
All these years now
Ive been all alone,
Yes, all alone,
So all alone.
And all the dreams,
That Ive left behind.
All these dreams,
That I could never find.
All these dreams,
That wander through my mind.
I dont know,
I just dont know.
And I seem to sometimes wonder.
Sometimes for days on end.
And I swear that I cannot see,
just where it all will end.
And sometimes I feel
that I cannot find a friend,
not one friend,
not a friend.

| Wordsy....I am sickened by the fact that your works go unread and uncomented on. Every write of yours is so filled with emotion....all have such perfect rhyme. I wonder abou tthe mentality of those at this site who leave outstanding comments on poems that are no more than garbage..and yet pass by such works of art as yours. Larry |
