I'll Never Heal

This used to be my favorite time of year
Before leaves fell to the ground
September Sun burned crisp and clear
And hilltops shined in crimson brown.
Wed take walks beneath the pines
Sparkling bright with morning frost
Never dreaming then that Id
Be holding on to things Ive lost.

Now the world just turns around me
Its been years since youve been gone
And my friends still offer comfort
They say its time Im moving on.
But my hearts forever broken
Or at least thats how I feel
And missing you the way I do
Im afraid Ill never heal.

I visit places we once knew
But they just dont seem the same.
And all your pictures faded blue
Forever silent in their frame...

The world still turns around me
Its been years since youve been gone
My friends still offer comfort
They say its time Im moving on.
But my hearts forever broken
Or at least thats how I feel
And missing you the way I do
Im afraid Ill never heal
