I stand upon the summit
before my journeys end
to look beyond the reasons
for regrets I now defend
of all the long lost dreams
that haunt my restless sleep
and of all the tears Ive cried
and the reasons that I weep
for all the forgotten days
that fill my lonely past
and all the long lost memories
and the shadows that they cast
and of all the tears I cried
their price Ive paid its due
through all these years I tried
to stand both straight and true.
