In The Dark

Contributed by NoSaint on Sunday, 24th December 2006 @ 03:47:47 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Silently in the dark
Watching the stars on high
She feels more herself
As she issues an unheard sigh

Around her is all of creation
Gods most beautiful works
In her spirit wonder grows
And understanding sparks

She will respect all that lives
Upon this earthly plain
Trying to walk lightly
Not leaving the slightest stain

A fire now burns within
To learn more of the Great Mystery
And have a closer relationship
With that we cannot not see

Alone she will never truly be
As solitary under the stars she sits
Her heart feels love uncontained
Sparking from her inner most spirit

Joy she feels here in the dark
Her inner voice heralds a song
That has flowed through many
With all of eternity she belongs

This poem is excellent. You write
with such tenderness for the higher
being and the earth. These lines:

A fire now burns within
To learn more of the Great Mystery
And have a closer relationship
With that we cannot not see

Really stuck with me. To me, this sounds
like a point of revelation. Great work!
