Arms lifted to the sky
Kissing past hurts goodbye
Broken dreams are on mend
Time for self abuse to end
Making the most of gifts given
From the Father up in Heaven
Using love as only sword
Giving of self with no reward
Bringing about a change in me
Taking cue from giving tree
Share the fruits of my labors
Dont use words as sabers
Let my inner light fly free
Being the best I can be
Find wonder in the smallest things
Looking at the joy this brings
A resolution from heart sincere
Will work on this through coming year
To be a better kinder soul
This is the only way I can go
