Brave Knight
Canto 4 Book 2
Stanza 1

At break of day in chapel nave when priest
calls faithful by bell seeking those to keep
the matins, came Duke Morley after feast
to meet Sir knight without a time of sleep.
Stephanus Marcus made "goodday" with sweep
of gauntlet smacking softly pillar stay.
Lips imprecations gave Lord Morley deep
misgivings thinking grave what knight should say.
But even so resigned was he to know what may.
