Mr. Dogoodie

Contributed by Channing on Wednesday, 27th December 2006 @ 02:21:49 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Mr. Dogoodie is our neighbor
He is quite a successful fellow
A nice ordinary man
His family is involved
In all community affairs
And supports everyone
That comes into contact with them
Mr. Dogoodie is our teacher
He teaches psychology and social studies
A good football coach as well
His children get great grades
In every subject area
And play sports all year
Thats led to state victories
Mr. Dogoodie is a caring guy
He has helped us out of jams
A lifesaver really
His influence is on everyone
In everyone around him
And many are glad
That they know him
However he has his secrets
Mr. Dogoodie loves children
A little more than he should
So the cops are at his house
For no one thought
Mr. Dogoodies axe
Would find its way into
His entire family
I guess its scary
When your wife finds out
About all your secrets
Poor, poor, Dogoodie family

An ingenious speculation on what I consider to be a fact of human nature. We hid what we don't want to be found. Well done on this poem, keep it up!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
