you reach up
struggle
she looks down
solemn
you scream for attention
but she shuts you out;avoid tension
you try
she can't see
you suceed
she asks for more
you try harder
but everything has limits

then she condemns scrutinise questions
demands.
but all you wanted
all you needed
was for recognition on your part;
all your efforts.

you wanted encouragement
but she only sees praise applaud
others;even supports.
your nephews cousins friends
anyone;everyone but you
you only cry inside
wondering if you could be anything but her child
because it would have been so much easier
so much sweeter
so much nicer.

But you are but nothing
because you know she knows
you are just a failure
a disappointment
a mistake.
