Were all connected
Descendants of the light
Destined from the moment of our birth
To search our heart and mind
To seek and we shall find
The purpose we weve been given here on earth

The road to hell
Is paved with green and gold
And Ill admit Ive walked that street in shame
The road to salvation
Is littered with the bones
Of those who would not call his name
And say

Rescue me Jesus
Storm these walls that close me in
Light this darkness that surrounds me
Cool this fire beneath my skin
Lord Deliver me holy
Raise me up and set me free
Change me from this man I am
To the manIm meant to be.

Were all held hostage
By the secrets that we keep
And Im the first to say that I have kept a few
Lost weary and forlorn
And badly misinformed
Convinced the lie Id been living was the truth

Lifes a fragile fabric
Held together by a thread
And Gods will is sometimes hard to comprehend
I lost my brother
And I know this might sound strange
But on the day he died I was born again
I cried.

Rescue me Jesus
Storm these walls that close me in
Light this darkness that surrounds me
Cool this fire beneath my skin
Lord deliver me holy
Raise me up and set me free
Change me from this man I am
To the manIm meant to be.

Fueled by hatred and by lies
The battle lines are clearly drawn
So choose which side youre on
Bend your knees and
Lift your voices to the sky
And sing out
