There are days that dwell in the darkness of cellars Where horrid things scurry about in silence Fleeing from the crack of light peeking under locked doors Where cold damp floors chill brittle bones And sleep comes from exhaustion Only to be plagued by nightmares
Then there are bright days that dwell in secret gardens Where flower buds open and humming birds hover Where the sun gives warmth And the grass is soft Where lazy bodies rest and heavy eye lids close And sweet dreams are dreamt
