i hate her in the mirror
i see her in a shine
she makes the waters colder
she turns the tea to brine
she makes heat fume within me
she makes me want to cry
her skin; sandpaper softness
her hair; too thick and dry
her fat is overbearing
her stomach, like a whale
when other are beside her
their skins look deadly pale
shes obviously fake
but no one seems to see
the girl i speak of in poems
is a girl that i call me
i hate to admit im horrid
but its hard to disbelieve
the tears stream rather harshly
i cannot bare to see
the face within the mirror
the eyes that burn like fire
the mask i wear's no better
im a bloody liar
i hate to get their goodness
im sickening to see
the thing i hate most about it
is the thing i hate is me

wow this is a very powerful write on hartred towards oneself. very well put into words also. I can relate to this .. I think we all hate ourselves sometimes or for some reason.. however we have to like ourselves in order for others to like us. awesome job though

It's a great write, but damn ....so sad that you feel so down on yourself. I remember feeling like this a time or two. Sometimes I have felt like my own worse enemy. I sympathize with you. I hope in time you will learn to love yourself...you know that seems to be one of the hardest things to do but until you do love yourself...it is really hard..nearly impossible to love someone else. Take care and keep writing. It is an excellent release. Welcome to YPDC.
