Mist rises mournfully Over Sorrows Peak Blood red moon shows Death to the meek
Many hearts broken Many left to mourn Many will live to rue The day that they were born
Crystal dew on violets Crushed beneath her feet Tortured soul no longer Innocent and sweet
Bringing forward spirits Better left in hell Revenge her only motive In bitterness she dwells
Blood will be the payment For the evil she will loose Upon the quiet little town From a tree she ties a noose
On Sorrows Peak The tall oak tree stands And here like her Grandmother She will join Satans band
For once before a young woman Hung from the old oak tree After letting loose Demons Upon the community

OOOoooo Shari, I liked this. A bit of a spine-tingler. I loved stanza number three with the mention of the crushed violets..I was picturing it perfectly in my mind..along with that old oak tree.
Peace and hugs,

Shades of the 'Burning Times' of Salem and mindsets en rapt with fears and evils pursuing divinity...
