Take my hand
Hold it tight
Help me through
The fears of the night
The cold closes in on me
But you hold me close
Until sleep overtakes me.
Here in my heart
I can always feel your love
I always could right from the start
You make me feel alive
Youre my favorite person
You make my spirits thrive
Put the smile on my face when you kiss me
Put the tears on my face when you hurt me
Put the happiness in my heart when youre near me
You make my tears of pain turn to tears of joy
God only knows what id be
Without this special boy
Maybe we're the only ones who can see
That we are meant to be.

I loved the tenderness about this. Bittersweet.
You have tasted the bitter and been rewarded with the sweet. When love comes softly it is the best feeling in the world.
Hold onto that and your life and heart will forever be full. The new tears will be that of only joy and such a wonderful emotion it can be!
Beautiful poem, thank you for sharing this.
It leaves a good place to conclude the day.
