friends forever

Contributed by wildcherry3393 on Saturday, 13th January 2007 @ 10:38:26 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I know weve changed over the years,
weve had our laughs, weve shed our tears,
but surely as the sun will rise, our friendship surely never dies.

Now think about the times weve made hold on to them,
dont let them fade,
and in the wind the trees will sway,
but friends will never go away.

Your always there, your always know,
the care you have is always shown,
and the snow white clouds will fill the skys,
for friendship truely is a prize.

I know the years have gone so fast,
that it is time to say our last,
but surely as the sun will fall,
our friendship always will stand tall.

good rhyme and flow, I just wonder why the first stanza isn't in 4 lines, like this:

I know weve changed over the years,
weve had our laughs, weve shed our tears,
but surely as the sun will rise,
our friendship surely never dies.

This poem was obviously written about someone who you care about, and that is admired, I'm sure. That's the best way to write poetry. By using personal expiernences and inner-emotions to do the feeling, and you do the writing.
