Standing on the cliff overlooking the ocean Rich brown hair flowing behind in the wind Lavender eyes filled with crystal tears Her beauty was once that of a star
Her spirit had shone bright Now dulled from deception She watches the seagulls play How young and fresh she had felt
How happy her life was once Emptiness and sorrow fill her heart Contemplating taking a step off the edge Ending this pain that nagged within
She stepped nearer looking down at the rocks Watching the water beating and retreating Throwing a lavender rose into the water Then walking away she will live to love
Another day

Blessed Be...
Nostalgia and despair diverge when the 'will to love...' cuts new pathways...
May there ever be 'Lavender Roses' for you to reconnaissance the depths.
Bravo
Peace

Shari~
My dear friend I can so much relate to the emptiness and sorrow that fill ones heart.
Throwing a lavender rose into the water
Then walking away she will live to love
Another day
I hang on too in hope that someday soon I shall love again. Thanks so much for posting this my dear friend.
love n hugs,

Very good work here, i can hear the water hitting the rocks below, see her standing at the edge with tears in her eyes. Oh, my heart aches for her. Nicely done, very good imagery, I will continue to read more of your work.
