I wish I knew

He looks at me
Not knowing what to say

I know what he should say
But it sounds insane

Its like looking at your brother
And needing him to do something for you
But youre too afraid to ask.

He says a few things
Like hi
We never say bye

He gives me high-fives
And funny faces
But never the hug I desperately need.

He talks to my friends
And acts all goofy.
why jealousy rageing inside of me?

Why cant he just do that with me?
I find myself asking that all the time.

But the other confusing thing is..
Why do I care?

I wish I knew.
I wish I had an answer
I wish I could just stop
I wish no one would say I like him
I wish he would read this
I wish he would answer
I wish
I wish.

But wishes never come true
Theyre just a dreams that slowly pass away.

I cant sleep
I cant think
All I feel is pain
Pain that only a man could take away.

I wish I knew someone
Who could take his place
But he is all Ive got right now
Maybe thing will change.
