Deep in a valley beneath the mountains high Under the light of a starry sky Lay two rose bushes close together Blooming in all sorts of weather
The rose of darkness black as night The rose of light a beautiful white One gets darker with every misdeed The other whiter when good works breed
No one knows what would happen one day If one of the roses were to fade away Would the world be filled with tears? Or would it take away all our fears?
We need both to balance out our life To appreciate the good we need the strife Learn from the darker times and prepare To thank the Creator when good times are there

I really liked this and strangely it reminded me of my Aunt Rose (aka the Tiger Lady, diminutive in size truculent in stature) who was a force of nature on her own and somehow dimly I can hear her saying in compliment to this piece: "You can't have the good without the bad."
Lovely imagery of cosmic forces in balance.
Well Done
Thank You
Peace

A lovely write beautifully penned. In life I think that you can't have the good without the bad. You balance it out well within your write. Well done my dear friend.

This poem puts one of life's hardest lessons in a simple metaphor. Great work, keep them coming!
