The message

Contributed by manforgod on Tuesday, 16th January 2007 @ 02:40:54 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

The streets are all barren, the sky cold and bleak
Bitter cold night surrounds me, chilling my feet
Just me and my bottle, my warmth from within
My hands, they are shaking, my lips could not speak

The wind blows right through me, chilling to the bone
Then I saw a person, from nowhere it seemed
Reaching out to me, touching the depths of my very soul
He said, come with me and the truth you shall know

I asked Why do you seek me, for I am a disgrace
A person such as I has no right to look upon your face
He said I am not here to scorn you, but to let you know
Of a distant place that you shall very soon go

My mind was rushing to nowhere, running away
When I woke up sweating, alone in my warm bed
Then I knew what had happened and fell to my knees
Knowing God had sent an angel my future to see
