Waiting For You

Contributed by Helena on Thursday, 18th January 2007 @ 02:36:10 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

You are the sunlight on my morning pillow
a soft cashmere throw
Grandmas apple pie on Sunday
the song of a tiny blue jay

You are a hot shower to end the day
an open bottle of cabernet
poetry inside a library book
an afternoon lunch by a brook

You are a road trip in a beat-up ford
singing karaoke to the dashboard
The hope after every heartbreak
finding good in a mistake

You are getting caught in a downpour
splashing in puddles by the door
my favorite song on the radio
the gentle rapping of the crow

You are finding a rule to bend
a secret among trusted friends
the awkwardness of a first date
showing up fashionably late

You are seeing a favorite band
the dripping ice cream on my hand
having a really good dream
rewatching a beloved movie scene

You are in every mundane gem
so easy to overlook them
My happiness proclaimed
and I dont even know your name

Aw, i really liked this. I believe you did an awesome job on this. And the ending was really cute. I LOVED IT! I am still waiting for my prince charming also. And I hope he'll be just like this poem explains. Wonderful job!

A good soulful piece that catches the hearts attention and shares the longing.
"...Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized; Henceforth I never will be Romeo..."

Well Done

Peace
