A loving soldier who'd be coming back
Suddenly died in Iraq
On August 9th 2005
His family wished he'd still been alive
With grandmom dying shortly after
This family thought their life was a disaster
They were trying to be strong
Even Though their hurt would be forever long
On August 19th he was laid to rest
And in our hearts he'll always be the best
For he served his country with a pride thats true
And gave his life for the red, white, and blue.
