Have you ever seen
your mummy lying broken on the floor?
Crying when she looks in the mirror
and sees the bruised woman infront of her.
Have you ever seen
Your daddy spit and call her a *****?
Kicking her to the ground
each time she tries to get up.
I've seen it all,
I've lived through it all.
And it's not a nice thing,
Not wanting to go home,
Just incase daddy's angry with me.
Will you ever know
The pain of a fist against your face?
Pleading for it to stop,
and praying for him to change.
Will you ever know
How hard it is to watch her suffer?
Knowing there's nothing you can do,
and he'll never listen to you.
I've seen it all,
And i've lived through it all.
But the pain's still here,
it's still inside of me,
Haunting me.
It's oh so easy
to be ignorant in this world today,
But lets take a stand
and end the pain of yesterday.

| You have created a real life image here.....the words really hit the heart for sure.....I grew up in family of love.....so you see I never experienced what you have said.........The moments you wrote about , are so hurtful and damaging too....All I can say I wish you well......well written..... |
