Listen, my children, And you will hear, About something anyone comes to fear, Time, in cadence with a lifetime of suns, Does much more than just march on, In point of fact, it really gets up and runs, Leaving you with little future attraction, Old age being a study in subtraction, As you lose your hair and your teeth, And perhaps something underneath; Listen, my children, Hold on to what you consider dear, And cover up the bathroom mirror.

had found it to be very liberating when i visited my son and daughter-in-law this past summer and their house with no mirrors....in my mind's eye, saw myself quite beautiful..

And no doubt you are quite beautiful. For more on this subject, look for "The Enchanted Cottage" sometimes shown on TCM....a movie made in 1945....starring Dorothy McGuire and Robt. Young.
