When tomorrow starts without me
I am not there for you to see
when the sun comes up to rise
wipe those tears from your eyes
I wish so much that you would not cry
the way you do today
I am thinking of the many things
we did not get to say
I know how much you really love me
just as much as I love you
I know that each time you think of me
I know you miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me
please try and understand
a special Angel came and called out my name
they took me by the hand
they said my place was ready
in Heaven far up above
they said I would have to leave behind
all of you I dearly love
As I slowly turned to walk away
tears fell from within my eye
for all my life, Id always thought
I didnt want to die
I had so much to live for
I still had so much left yet to do
It seems almost impossible
that I was leaving you
I think of all the yesterdays
the good ones and the bad
I think of all the love we share
be happy, dont be sad
I think of all the fun we had
just even for a while
to kiss you and to say good-bye
and maybe see you smile
but then I finally realized
that this can no longer be
I left you emptiness and memories
to take the place of me
I think of all the worldly things
I will miss come tomorrow
I think of you and when I do
my heart is filled with sorrow
but when I walked through Heavens gate
I felt so much at home
when God looked down and smiled at me
from his golden throne
He gently said, this is eternity
and all I promised you
today your life on earth has passed
but here life starts anew
I promise no tomorrows
today will always last
a brand new life I give you
your life on earth has past
you have been very faithful
so trusting and so true
there were those times you did things
you knew you shouldnt do
by me you have been forgiven
and now at last youre here
so wont you come and take my hand
and lets erase that fear
When tomorrow starts without me
dont think were far apart
for every time you think of me
