Where have you been
Like the song says I've been everywhere
Man I've been everywhere
Yet I've always very near
I've always thought of you and you'es
Believe me I speak truth'es
I've been happy and I've been brusied
Live goes on under skies black or blue
There were times I would peek in Then again I'd see a note "where have you been My mind as blank as an empty bin
I've enjoyed my family and friends Both of them Write a poem I was a think'en Even thought I'd take up drink'en
I surcumed Ideas wouldn't come Beat on my head like a drum Always feeling a little dumb
Wish I could be like you and others Crossing my mind, thoughts why bother Then you'es gals and guys matter Where have you been, O'brother
Your all like family to me, I smile Have you seen aunt Nellie No, not for a while Winters been warm and chilly
I've come back to see you again Losers lose and winners win My name is Dennis I feel I've sinned Believe me when I call you friend
