Panic Attack

selfstruggles

Anxiety swells like an inflating balloon With each breath and each heart beat panic settles like drowning under water The surface fades and I accept fate Peace penetrates with seconds to spare I gulp air hungrily and cling to life while waves of anxiety crash threateningly around me

I suffered from severe panic attacks for
years and I want you to know. I have beaten
them completely without medication. Pills
only treat the symptoms of attacks. To stop
them you must attack them at the root cause.
This involves understanding the psychology
behind them and identifying exactly what
thoughts set offf your attack. You may want to study basic logic. When an attack comes use
this to counteract your irrational thoughts. Meditation is also quite helpful. Pratice focusing your mind on a single object like a
candle flame. No matter how many times the flame goes out immediatly ignite it again in your mind. If you pratice this eventually your
sense of panic will fade. Pratice it even when your not in panic mode and eventually you may find your panic attacks are not as severe.
I don't know your full situation however I hope this helps you. But remember they can be beaten. They are not invincible. Good luck , Truly , Doug |
