in this light

Topic: oops

Yes, I said
I said

In this light

In this light

Our sad song becomes darker

Our homes become farther

The tones of history

still seem not to alter
the space we've grown
inbetween us

Yes, I feel
I say

I feel

In this light

Our emotions drag the water

Our motions from the past faulter

The bones of history

That lead us untrusting
If only we would of been
A little more humble

Maybe we wouldn't be so misleading

Oh, I love you
But in this light
Our backstabbing is luminated
And our sad souls are countered

From all we've done
I wonder
If so
What would we become

I said

Yes, I said

In this light

In this light

I love to see ya
But we've driven to far from home

Wow, this poem is sad. " I love to see ya
But we've driven to far from home " this line hit me like a ton of bricks. You are a most worthy writter. Able to convey a true scence of beauty even in times of sadness. So finnal that line is. Lovely presentation as well.

thank you kindly also for your comment
