Innocence allowed you to open your pride Clueless of cruelty the world would provide One day fall knee deep in too good to be true To find out that falsehoods are so common too
What thought was advantage was mere signs of dust Kicked up to warn you but vanished with trust A bottle of liquor and a bottle of lust Both gone with morning like metal with rust
Taken was dignity by corrupted faith Soaking in eyeballs; embarrassing hate The mirrors that shattered reflected a fate Feelings of misery branded innate
Forever to wander a world on the edge A sickness inside and a pain in the head Something you feel the second you rise Without even knowing what's on your mind
