You've grown to be beautiful and unique, when I look at you now I can hardly speak I think back to when you were so small, before I knew it you could crawl Soon after that you were running through the house, and lets not forget your famous pet mouse Next you moved on to soccer and friends, your loyalty to them never ends Now i'm bracing myself cause I know what's in store, I know all about the teenage lure I too was once a girl of fourteen, and when it came to mischief I was the queen Some day soon you'll want to date, and then we'll fight cause I'll want you to wait Then you'll rebel and fall in love, and I'll start praying to God above I know there's no sense in getting all upset, it's not like your leaving not just yet I know it's crazy to feel this way, but it seems like yesterday you wanted to play I realize your going to need some space, and i'll try real hard not to get on your case But if I should forget and my brain begins to whirl, please don't get mad cause your still my little girl...

It is indeed a wonderful feeling to be a mother or a father, more over it is also an adventure to be one. as a father of a teen boy i fully understand and agree with your thoughts. This poem is a wonderful Compliment to motherhood.
